design

Responsive marketing page using the existing Rechaj header, footer, General Sans, primary green, forest, cream and pale green. The hero uses original typographic brand artwork; no stock team portraits imply employment.

  • Mission-led hero with an opportunities anchor.
  • Bright green purpose section linking to the founders’ letter.
  • Three areas of work: systems, operations and people. These describe disciplines, not advertised vacancies or established departments.
  • Opportunities section with an open application. The user supplied the Regional Energy Infrastructure Lead title. It has a dedicated detail page and email application alongside the open application. Role overview and focus areas are proposed editorial copy for review, not a supplied job description. No location, benefits, salary, experience threshold or work arrangement is invented.
  • Shared footer. Careers links are added to homepage, blog and article navigation. The previously removed homepage careers section stays removed.

The mobile menu supports toggle, link dismissal, Escape and desktop reset. The open application uses a prefilled mailto link to the existing public team@rechaj.co address, with prompts for background, interests and portfolio. It opens the candidate’s email app; no application is sent automatically and no backend or applicant database is implied. The page is noindex while under design review.

The role page includes overview, three proposed focus areas, anchor navigation, a return-to-opportunities link and prefilled application email. The confirmed title is Regional Energy Infrastructure Lead; all fuller job wording needs owner review before publication.

The browser favicon uses the exact user-supplied icon - edid this.svg: a bright green circle with a forest Rechaj mark. The SVG is copied unchanged into the shared website assets and linked on every page.

Shared footer links now identify SMEs and Industry as planned applications, matching the homepage network tabs.

A slim forest-green announcement strip sits above navigation on the homepage, blog and careers pages. Its initial message promotes the founders’ thesis with a working “Learn more” link; no fundraising amount or event is invented. Replace the message and article destination in the page markup when an announcement is ready. Shared announcement.js enables a labelled 44px dismiss button and moves focus to the logo after dismissal; dismissal lasts for the current page visit. Without JavaScript, the message/link remain visible and the inactive dismiss button stays hidden. The strip scrolls away, allowing the existing sticky header and network scroll offsets to remain unchanged. Mobile text wraps centrally with space reserved for the close button.

Each page has a dedicated 1200 × 630 PNG social image under assets/social, with vector SVG originals using outlined General Sans and the existing Rechaj logo and angular mark. Images are approximately 66–72 KB and use cream, forest, brand green and electric yellow. The homepage, journal, founders’ thesis, careers index and role have distinct copy. Open Graph and Twitter large-image metadata, image dimensions, alternative text and canonical URLs are emitted directly in HTML so preview crawlers need no JavaScript. The article has Open Graph article type; other pages use website.

The current absolute base URL comes from the existing design.rechaj.com deployment. Change baseUrl in social-metadata.json and run node scripts/rechaj-social-meta.mjs from the repository root before deployment to a different domain or route root. Metadata is local until deployed; localhost and authenticated/private URLs cannot provide public share previews. Existing draft noindex settings remain intact.
